Cinematic Asian Wedding – Bilal & Raeesah at Goosedale

Even on the busiest days, the biggest days, there can be intimate moments between two people and we worked to capture those moments between Bilal & Raeesah as they shared their love with family and friends who joined them to celebrate it with a wedding to remember and a wedding film to make them proud…

Goosedale in Nottingham provided the perfect 17th century backdrop for those celebrations. Set within over a hundred acres of rolling countryside, and surrounded by perfectly presented gardens and incredible views, it is without doubt one of the Midlands premier wedding venues.

Goosedale, its facilities and its team of dedicated staff are a wedding cinematographers dream when it comes to making films that really showcase a special day.

Skills that go beyond wedding cinematography

Capturing those unique moments in time takes far more than the latest gadgets and the best equipment. Every good cinematographer shares a unique ability to see people on a deeper level, to put them at ease and capture their natural emotions. Much like storytellers use finely crafted words to convey feelings and emotions; cinematographers seek out and use the perfect images.

To do that takes skill with a camera of course, but it also takes empathy, patience and the ability to be in the right place at exactly the right time to (unobtrusively) record those moments that, together make the perfect cinematic wedding film…

The smiles, the emotions, the arrivals, greetings and those light-hearted personal moments both planned and spontaneous are all important parts of wedding cinematography. They can bring back vivid memories and make us smile long after the special day is over, that is the reason why they mean so much and why getting them right is absolutely essential.

The small details can be just as evocative too, because a wedding takes a lot of detailed planning, the floral displays, the setting, the stunning table layouts and of course the glorious food are all important aspects of the day, a wedding film needs to capture them all perfectly.

Working closely with you

At Highlander Wedding Films, I understand those weeks leading up to the big day can be busy and stressful, that is why we make ourselves available at any time, to discuss requirements for the big day and to make sure we get the details just right on the day itself.

Working together with Bilal and Raeesah before their wedding day, we learnt that Raeesah played a key role in planning the decorations for her and future husband’s big day, capturing those exquisite details and filming them just the way they wanted was an important element of their wedding film and I was able to do just that.

Experience across a broad range of weddings

I am experienced in the filming and production of weddings across a broad range of different faiths and cultures, always with an ethos of attentiveness, respect and in particular, working closely with the happy couple to establish the finer details of what they’re looking for.

Asian weddings can be a celebration of much more than the love between two people; they can also be a celebration of dress, colours, tradition, music and food. Every wedding is a cause for joy and while Asian weddings can differ greatly in terms of tradition and culture, they all share a common theme, one of fun-filled joy and sheer celebration.

I was thrilled to share Bilal and Raeesah’s special day, to tell its story and to record those moments that helped to make it one to celebrate and remember time and time again, long into the future.
